About

Quantum science and technology have profoundly transformed our understanding of the universe by revealing the behavior of matter at atomic and subatomic scales. As these technologies continue to advance, they promise to revolutionize areas such as computing, communication, and sensing, with far-reaching implications for society. In view of these global trends, the Union Cabinet has recently launched the "National Quantum Mission", aimed at accelerating awareness and nurturing a robust ecosystem for quantum technologies within the country.

To join these global initiatives, the Department of Applied Sciences , in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology and Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, are Organizing a 4-Day Workshop on Frontiers in Quantum Information and Technologies (FQIT). This event offers a unique opportunity to engage with cutting-edge developments in quantum information and technologies, discuss challenges and opportunities, and collaborate with experts. Additionally, IIIT Allahabad is set to launch a Master's program in Quantum Information and Technologies.

Let's work together to inspire the next generation of quantum scientists and innovators, shaping the future of technology and innovation!

Aim

This 4-day workshop aims to introduce young learners to the exciting domain of quantum information and technologies. Through a carefully curated program, participants will explore how quantum theory not only deepens our understanding of the fundamental principles of nature but also underpins revolutionary advancements in areas such as quantum computing, communication, and sensing. The event will showcase the rapidly evolving landscape of quantum-enabled technologies and their transformative impact across science and industry. Combining expert-led lectures, interactive sessions, and hands-on activities, the workshop offers a comprehensive and engaging experience that bridges foundational concepts with cutting-edge applications in quantum information science. Participants will benefit from a blend of expert-led talks, interactive discussions, and hands-on sessions, offering a comprehensive and immersive experience in quantum science and its real-world applications.
